Elmwood MB Church – Lead Pastor

Situated in the heart of Elmwood we are Winnipeg's original MB church, with an average attendance of 235. We desire to "reflect God's presence through our worship, work & witness". Having recently completed a refocusing process we are ready to move forward to be Christ's hands and feet in our local and respective communities. We are looking for a pastor who will lead our church into the next chapter of its mission. This individual is:

The Meeting Place – Pastor of Community Care and Outreach
30 hours per week. Interviews begin immediately.

The successful candidate is spiritually mature and self-motivated, with a desire to see people connect with Jesus and others in the faith community and a keen problem-solving ability. This person will be responsible for personally providing pastoral care (primarily to women), as well as creating programs and leading teams of volunteers to express care for people within various contexts -- primarily Sunday mornings, women's ministry events, and mid-week support groups. This pastor will also explore opportunities for The Meeting Place to compassionately engage with the needs of our downtown neighbourhood, in co-operation with existing local ministry partners.

This role is in the context of a team environment alongside other pastors. Duties will be carried out during daytime office hours, some evenings, and Sunday mornings. Moderate computer skills and experience with pastoral counselling and support groups are essential.
