Environmental Studies

What Will I Study?

Pedagogically, students graduating with a full degree in Environmental Studies from CMU should have fulfilled primary learning objectives in five areas: natural sciences, social sciences, humanities, knowledge acquisition and scientific literacies, and application/integration.

The program's grounding in the natural sciences provides students with knowledge of the underlying scientific principles and processes required to understand environmental issues. This encompasses the climate, soil and water systems, nutrient cycles, ecology, and more.
