Athletics is an integral part of life at CMU. The athletics program is committed to helping you develop excellence within the context of highly competitive intercollegiate sports, while at the same time helping you to balance yourself spiritually, physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially.
Our vision is to build a highly respected athletics program based on quality and excellence—a program that honours God and is of service to others.
- To prepare you for a life of Christian faith and service in church and society by providing you with opportunities for physical, social, emotional, mental and spiritual development through recreational activities, as well as through the pursuit of athletic excellence in intercollegiate athletics.
- To be a centre for careful reflection on the integration of faith and life by encouraging and challenging you to integrate Christian faith with learning, personal growth and development—both on and off the field of play.
- To resource the Christian church and serve the larger community by providing you with the opportunity to learn important life skills such as wise time management, leadership, self-discipline and teamwork. These life skills contribute positively to your performance in competitive settings, in the classroom and in present and future church and community life.
