This course is designed for kids at all skill levels. If you like to draw, this class will enable you to explore and build on your talent! Learn all the elements involved in creating your own special composition.

Cartoon Art

This class will encourage the student who has been drawing and wants to improve their skills. Contour, perspective, proportion, and shading will all be addressed. Work with different drawing tools and gain confidence.

Acrylic Painting

Painting   

Students will be bringing home beautiful, ready-to-hang, unique paintings! Working on a large surface area, mixing colors, texture, brush stroke, and composition will all be a part of the young artists' training. There will be a strong focus on creativity, color, and planning a finished project.

Stop Motion Animation

Teen Painting ** New Class!

This 8 week course will explore contemporary themes, styles and experimentation with acrylic paint. Students will be encouraged to create their own originals by combining a variety of painting techniques and references. Every class will begin with a short exercise, highlighting fundamentals of painting such as colour mixing, colour theory, composition, perspective, layering, editing etc. Students are expected to bring their own materials, which will be discussed during the first class. All skill levels welcome.

Stop Motion Animation

Stop Motion Animation I* 

Create characters and give them life through the movie magic of stop motion animation! We will be crafting Plasticine figures to make short stop-motion animated videos. This class is appropriate for those who are beginners, as well as for those who have had some previous experience. Learn the tricks and methods of the medium that will make your animations come alive!

Stop Motion Animation II*

This class is for those who have experience with stop-motion animation and want to explore the medium further. Bring characters to life using advanced methods involving wire armatures, wood, paper cutouts, mixed media materials and Plasticine clay. Learn to use editing software to create special effects and add music and sounds to make your stop-motion movie look and sound like it was made by a pro!
