Handbell Ensemble

Handbell ringing opens up a fascinating world of collaborative music making. Participants in this group course will examine basic handbell ringing and damping techniques, with an emphasis on ergonomic principles and sound production. They will experience growth in reading ability and rhythmic skills through repertoire exploration and exercises. This is an intergenerational class with rich possibilities for friendship and team work. Classes will culminate in a group performance. The prerequisite for the course is basic music reading skills.
