We might remember that whatever else divides us as human beings, we all need air and water; and virtually all of our hearts rejoice at the sounds of spring.
These commonalities may save us when the visions of race, class, gender, ethnicity or sexuality leave us deeply suspicious of each other.
Emphasizing what we share is a particular gift of spiritual social activists.

Each week during the Canadian School of Peacebuilding we invite the general public to join our students for a lunch banquet of great local food and inspiring speakers.
This year we are hosting three such banquets. Each one has a different speaker. Each speaker has been asked to tell stories of people they think of as great peacebuilders. This is a time to gather as a community of peacebuilders, to celebrate with great food and to be inspired by the stories of peacebuilders from around the world.
Tickets are $25 and must be purchased in advance. Ticket sales for each banquet will be closed at 9:30 AM the Monday morning prior to the banquet. To purchase tickets, check back later for an online ticket form or call CMU’s North Shaftesbury campus reception desk at 204-487-3300.
Note: For CSOP students, the cost of the banquet is covered in the course fee for the week(s) of your class.
