Introduction

The preaching series included in this section were developed explicitly for The Meeting Place, a 1200-member Mennonite Brethren Church located in the heart of Winnipeg, Manitoba, that intentionally aims at presenting the unique claims of Jesus Christ to men and women who are seeking meaning and purpose for their lives. The Sunday morning messages attempt to do two things: 1) present the Christian faith in a manner that is accessible to newcomers; 2) expose the participants to all aspects of Scripture and biblical worldview and theology.

As Willow Creek has discovered over the years, it is not sufficient simply to preach an evangelistic message. While that is an absolute (and joyful!!) imperative, there must also be a healthy Christian community to receive and disciple new converts. These two aspects reflect the basic dimensions of The Great Commission (Matt 28:19-20).

I will be regularly adding new preaching series. Please come back and check them out from time to time. My hope is that you may find there some ideas to inspire and support you in your ministry.
