Craig Martin, PhD in Agricultural Economics and Business, University of Guelph
Assistant Professor of Business and Organizational Administration
Teaching areas: Economics, accounting, finance, decision-science
In his research, Craig Martin has prepared extensive analyses of the demand for dairy products in Canada. His academic interests include the challenges facing family-owned businesses, having himself grown up in an entrepreneurial family. He is interested in the dynamics of non-profit organizations. "The same principles that govern businesses apply to non-profit groups," he says. He is especially interested in how business and financial, monetary, and government policies affect economic development in both the developed and developing world.

Teaching area for business: Business ethics
Justin Neufeld's academic interests concern how the human person has been understood by ancient, medieval, and modern writers as they have contemplated the question of justice, which is the question of what we owe others and what is owed to ourselves. Students in business will engage this history of reflection on justice in order to bring its resources to bear on the question of what constitutes good business today

Vonda Plett, PhD in Psychology, University of Saskatchewan

Vonda Plett's interest lies in helping create healthy organizations comprised of effective leaders and productive teams. In addition to her training in conducting applied research and organizational diagnoses, she brings to her teaching her experiences as a Certified Executive Coach.

Michael Gumprich, LL.M., University of Manitoba
Teaching area: Business law
As an entrepreneur and lawyer with an advanced post graduate degree in law, Michael Gumprich brings his practical insight to the field of business law. A composer and author, his music is held in several music libraries including the Pendlebury Library of Music at Cambridge University. His book Our Journey Here can be accessed through Brown and Harvard University libraries among others.

Paula Havixbeck, M.B.A., University of Manitoba
Teaching areas: Public relations and entrepreneurship
Paula Havixbeck is interested in exploring the balance between business and social entrepreneurship. She believes the bottom line is important but that making a meaningful contribution to society is equally significant. She says, “Consumers are demanding more from corporations. They’re placing a priority on social responsibility, and many businesses are beginning to realize that meeting those objectives is essential to turning a profit.” Havixbeck enjoys studying the corporate ties between business and government. She serves as City Councillor for the Charleswood-Tuxedo ward.

Andrea Martens, M.B.A., Schulich School of Business, York University
Teaching areas: Marketing and communications for business and organizational settings
Andrea Martens has over ten years of experience in the financial services sector in the areas of sales and sales management, marketing, and training. Martens is currently the vice president of Operations for a local company that manufactures and distributes green building materials across North America. Martens has been an active volunteer in the community with the Deer Lodge Centre and the Riverview Health Centre Foundation.

Lois Coleman Neufeld, M.A. in Leadership, Trinity Western University
Teaching area: Organizational leadership and management for non-profit organizations
Lois Coleman Neufeld teaches out of her considerable experience of leadership in not-for-profit organizations. She is currently Executive Director for Mediation Services in Winnipeg (since 2009). Previously she was Director of National Programs, MCC Canada (2001-2009) and Zambia Program Director, MCC, (1996-2001). Coleman Neufeld has also served as a member of CMU’s Board of Governors since 2003, serving as chair from 2007-2011.
