Bachelor of Business Administration, General Option
Students in this professional program complete a minimum of 120 credit hours in course work, at least 90 of which relate directly to Business and Organizational Administration. This program offers the student a distinctive benefit in that it includes a practicum, which requires at least 120 hours of experience in a setting relating to business and organizational administration.

The advantage of this program over the B.B.A. Co-op Option is that a student carrying a full-load each year can complete this program within four years, whereas the degree with the co-op option requires four and a half years. On the other hand, students may work at this program on a part-time basis, over many years whereas the co-op option requires full-time studies consistently over the years.

Bachelor of Business Administration, Co-op Option
Students in this professional program complete a minimum of 120 credit hours in course work, at least 90 of which relate directly to Business and Organizational Administration. In addition, students gain six terms (about four months each) of invaluable workplace experience, during which time they receive mentoring by business and organizational leaders.

The great advantage of this program is that it takes students from the classroom to the workplace and back again, offering students opportunities to learn theory in the classroom, then to apply that learning in the workplace, and return once again to the classroom with questions and new insight gained in the workplace. In this way students will gain the skills, understanding, and wisdom that will set them apart as a team players and visionary leaders in the business or not-for-profit world.

Major in Business and Organizational Administration
within the Bachelor of Arts

Both the three-year and the four-year Bachelor of Arts with a major in Business and Organizational Administration provide a breadth of exposure to the humanities, sciences, and social sciences, and significant depth in Business and Organizational Administration. These degrees prepare students well for various opportunities in business organizations, family businesses, or not-for-profit organizations.

At CMU both of these degrees offer the student a distinctive advantage in that they include a practicum, which requires at least 120 hours of experience in a setting relating to business and organizational administration.

Major in Business and Organizational Administration
within the 4-year Bachelor of Arts

If you complete a major in Business and Organizational Administration within the four-year Bachelor of Arts, you will gain the benefit of at least four more courses in the major than if you were to complete the three-year degree. This will give you room to include more of the upper-level offerings.

A second great advantage of the four-year Bachelor of Arts with a major in Business and Organizational Administration is its flexibility. A student completes a major of at least forty-eight credit hours, but then s/he still has ample space within the program to expand her/his repertoire of skills and knowledge by drawing on CMU’s strengths in areas like Peace and Conflict Transformation Studies, International Development Studies, Communications and Media, Music, English, or Biblical and Theological Studies.

Minor in Business and Organization Administration
within the Bachelor of Arts

The minor requires only eighteen credit hours and can fit alongside a major in any field, whether in the three-year or the four-year Bachelor of Arts. Through a minor in Business and Organizational Administration a student can gain valuable secondary competencies, applicable in almost any vocation.
