Career Resourcing

Step 3: Action Plan

Conducting a job search is a multifaceted process. A well-crafted résumé and cover letter are essential components of a successful job search. In addition, interview skills can significantly enhance your employment success.

Résumés

Building a résumé that will get noticed takes time and attention to detail, but it's not complicated. Each year CMU invites a professional to teach you how to write a résumé and ensure it will get noticed. We'll cover topics as simple as what information to include, formatting, and common pitfalls.

Interviews

A good interview is more than just talking about yourself, an interview is about explaining to the person who's hiring that you are the person he or she needs to help get the job done. We'll give you tools to formulate the answers to some of the hard interview questions.
