204.487.3300 ext. 612

Abram develops and oversees a strategic plan for church engagement and alumni relations, and leads in the development of resources and events for church leaders through the Institute for Theology and the Church. Together with the Development Department, he visits supporters and assists with various Development initiatives.

Abram came to CMBC in 1990 in a part-time role as Assistant Professor of Practical Theology while serving as Director of Youth Ministry for the General Conference Mennonite Church. In 2001, the responsibilities of Director of Enrolment Services were added to his teaching responsibilities and his position became full-time. In 2011 he moved to his current responsibilities.

"The impact of the CMU experience on students is what keeps me here. It is delightful to see how gifts are nurtured, faith is deepened, and Anabaptist values are lived out as students move toward graduation and beyond."

Outside of CMU, Abram spends as much time as possible with his wife Harriet (and her parents), enjoys his children and grandchildren, Rachel & Chino and granddaughter Hazel who live in Winnipeg, and Jer & Rebecca and grandsons Seth & Eli who live in Kitchener. Friends in Winnipeg and beyond keep life interesting and rich.
