Come join us to learn about the basics of work-integrated learning, what to consider when you are looking for jobs, and how to figure out where your skills and interests meet. Whether you are looking for a WIL placement, a summer job, or your first job after graduation, this workshop is for you!
How exactly do people find job opportunities? Join us in this workshop to hear up-to-date strategies on finding employment, tailored especially for students seeking summer WIL placements or other summer work.
Creating well-tailored résumés is crucial to a successful job search. Join us to gain insights into making résumés that hiring managers will actually want to read.
Why do people ask such strange questions in job interviews? What are the unwritten expectations of these social spaces? After this workshop, you should be able to navigate interviews with higher confidence and understanding.
In collaboration with Student Life, the Ens Centre for Career and Vocation presents a full-day crash course for graduating undergraduate and graduate students that will teach you the strategies and tools you need to successfully find work that aligns with who you are after you graduate from CMU. Topics covered include: résumés, cover letters, job search, interview skills, LinkedIn, and more! We’ll finish off the day with a panel of recent alumni talking about their experience transitioning from CMU to the world of work.
Lunch and snacks are included. Please plan to come for the whole time. Participants will also have the opportunity to have a (free!) professional headshot taken.
