Exhibits: Entangled

Friday, September 22 — Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023

featuring Layered Histories: Perspectives on Colonization from the Chaco by Miriam Rudolph & Artes Vivas: Drawings

The exhibition features Layered Histories: Perspectives from the Chaco by Miriam Rudolph. The Winnipeg-based printmaker considers her childhood in Paraguay, her ancestral roots, and broader ideas about colonization in this work.

At the same time, Artes Vivas will display a collection of drawings. The Indigenous collective of artists from the Cayin ô Clim and Yiclôcat missions in Paraguay explore ancestral knowledge, settle-colonial relations, and land-based relationships in this collection of folk-art inspired works. The original Artes Vivas drawings will be available for sale, with all proceeds going directly back to support the artists in this vulnerable area.
