Placed Observed: Recent Works by John Blosser

John Blosser offers a collection of recent works representing his creative play with the Direct Observation method. Full of the energy found in the nucleus of a moment, Blosser’s technique focuses on paintings and sketches drawn directly from life: impressions of feelings, shapes, and fleeting memories that echo the summer nights that never seem to last long enough. We can linger over landscapes, objects, and atmospheric scenes from this Professor of Art Emeritus of Goshen College in Indiana.

Shifting Perspective - Textile and Fibre Artists of Manitoba

Textile and Fibre Artists Manitoba equally respond to the world around us, but this artist collective suggests "Shifting Perspective" during these turbulent times. Each of the 19 artists in this group exhibit consider a personal response to the theme, proving that fibre arts and quilting is far from a traditional craft of the domestic sphere and instead challenging us to experience truths and feelings about our daily lives through fabric, thread and stitch.
