My Mennonite great grandparents brought my language, religious and cultural traditions, community practices, homemaking, gardening, and food traditions from Russia, near the Sea of Azov, in 1874 and 1875. All that history was remembered with my mother and father in their farming and homemaking practices. 160 ACRES: the Geography of Home is my tribute to how I grew up and the telling of that story to my children."
