Mental Health First Aid: Adults Who Interact with Youth

A workshop for MSC and CMU students offered by the Canadian Mental Health Assocation

This 2-day training course was developed to help people provide initial support to someone who may be developing a mental health problem or experiencing a mental health crisis. The course is a skills workshop with a focus on mental health first aid skills and can be taken for credit as CRS-2111(1.5).

Students taking CRS-3332(3) Trauma & Violence are strongly encouraged to enrol in this workshop.

We believe that mental health crisis, such as suicidal and self-harming actions, may be prevented through early intervention. Learn to take first aid action that may reduce this type of harm.

When: February 7 & 8, 2015
Check-in: 8:30am each day
Course: 9:00am - 5:00pm
