SPEAKER BIOS
Gayle Goossen
is founder and Creative Director at Barefoot Creative in Kitchener, Ont. Prior to that she taught English Literature at an Ontario university before working in marketing and fundraising at World Vision Canada, where she developed key creative strategies for successful fund raising campaigns. Today she helps non-profit organizations maximize their impact through creative communication, marketing and fundraising strategies—and by telling good stories about their mission and work. For Gayle, storytelling is the single most powerful communication tool a non-profit group possess.

Dan Lett is an award-winning columnist and reporter at the Winnipeg Free Press. Originally from Toronto, Dan has covered many beats at the paper, from city hall to the national bureau in Ottawa. He has written stories that helped in part to free three wrongly convicted men, met Fidel Castro, interviewed three Philippine presidents, crossed several borders in Africa illegally, chased Somali pirates in a Canadian warship and had several guns pointed at him.

Noah Erenberg is convenor of Winnipeg's Community News Commons, a grass roots public media project that trains and engages citizen journalists to share local news and information and to tell inspiring stories about their neighbourhoods. Noah is a veteran network television documentary writer, director and producer, media studies instructor, trainer and consultant.
