Athletic ability, leadership, service, academics—and four championships —were celebrated March 18 at the annual Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) athletic awards ceremony.

The event capped off a successful year of inter-collegiate athletics, which saw the men’s and women’s basketball teams repeat as champions in the Central Plains Athletic Conference (CPAC).

Also winning CPAC championships were the women’s volleyball and the men’s hockey teams. The women’s volleyball team also won the annual Association of Christian College Athletics (ACCA) championship, while the men’s basketball team finished second in the ACCA.

“It was a great year—not just on the field or court, but also as our student athletes grew, developed and played leadership roles on teams and on campus,” says Athletic Director Christa Enns.
