Menno Simons College Gets Permanent Home
For the first time in its 20-year history, Menno Simons College (MSC) has found a permanent home. Through a significant legacy gift from the David and Katherine Friesen Family Foundation, which is a long-time supporter of MSC and Mennonite university education in Canada, MSC has purchased the first two floors of 520 Portage Avenue, the building where it has leased space since 2005.   Read the full story...

CMU Announces Team Entry in Hot Pursuit 2010
A team of five cyclists, made up of faculty members Chris Huebner and John Brubacher, along with Kevin Kilbrei, and alumni Craig Penner and Jon Guenter will race from Vancouver to Winnipeg in pursuit of ultra-marathon cyclist Arvid Loewen to raise money for international student financial assistance and international practica.   Read the full story...

Blazer Women Win Gold in 2010 MCAC Volleyball and Basketball Finals  
More than 300 spectators packed the CMU’s Loewen Athletic Centre on March 6 to witness the Women’s Basketball Team defeat Red River College 70-26 to win the 2010 Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference (MCAC) title, with the CMU Men’s BasketballTeam taking home silver at the MCAC Championships hosted by CMU.   Read the full story...
