The completion of two full years (60 credit hours) at Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) could prepare you to meet the entrance requirements for studies in Dentistry. This page explains what you must do if you wish to continue studies at the University of Manitoba in the Faculty of Dentistry. If you intend to continue studies at some other university, similar possibilities exist. However, it is important that you inquire about admission and program requirements at the university you are considering and that you work with the Coordinator of Student Advising at CMU to construct a program of studies at CMU that will achieve your objectives.

If you intend to enter the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Manitoba, it is possible for you to complete to years of study at CMU without adding to the time it would take if you were to go directly to the University of Manitoba. It will be necessary to take some courses at the University of Manitoba or at the University of Winnipeg for your degree at CMU. Courses not currently available at CMU are highlighted in UPPERCASE LETTERS.

To become eligible for admission to the Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Manitoba, you must successfully complete 60 credit hours of university degree level studies, with the successful completion of two Regular Fall/Winter sessions where each session contains a minimum of 24 new credit hours. These courses must include the following:

All students seeking entry into the Faculty of Dentistry must write the Canadian English Dental Aptitude Test (DAT) by November of the year previous to applying.
