Preparing for a Career in Medical Rehabilitation
Download an information sheet
A degree from Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) could prepare you to meet the entrance requirements for a masters program in medical rehabilitation. This page explains what you must complete if you wish to gain admission at the University of Manitoba to earn the Master of Occupational Therapy or the proposed Master of Physical Therapy (the first intake into the proposed M.P.T. degree program at U OF M is fall 2010). If you intend to continue studies at some other university, similar possibilities exist. However, it is important that you inquire about admission and program requirements at the university you are considering and that you work with the Coordinator of Student Advising at CMU to construct a program of studies that will achieve your objectives.
Students must achieve a minimum grade point average of 3.00 to become eligible for admission to either the physical therapy program OR the occupational therapy program. However, admission is on a competitive basis, and normally students must earn a higher average to compete successfully.
