Mini U is a summer day program for children ages 6–12, hosted by CMU. Through hands-on learning, creative exploration, and active play, Mini U offers kids a place where they feel welcomed, supported, and excited to learn.
What is Mini U?
Mini-U is a summer day camp for children ages 6–12 that runs across six individual weeks. Each week is a stand-alone, five-day camp session, and families register for the specific week or weeks they would like their child to attend.
Each week blends themed learning with classic camp experiences including games, outdoor activities, creative projects, and time to make new friends, all in a safe, supervised university environment.
Campers take part in two themed learning activities each day, alongside a variety of games, crafts, outdoor play, and group challenges. Every program is structured, age-appropriate, and led by trained staff who are committed to creating a respectful and encouraging camp experience.
At Mini U, learning feels like discovery, and kids are supported to try new things, express themselves, and belong.
Who is Mini U for?
Mini U welcomes children ages 6–12. Campers are grouped by age to ensure activities align with their developmental stage, interests, and abilities.
Age-based groupings help create a positive experience where every camper can participate fully, feel confident, and build friendships.
Why should parents choose Mini U at CMU?
Mini U is designed to care for the whole child—socially, creatively, and emotionally.
