Dr. Glen Klassen has pursued research on fungal genetics and evolution at the University of Manitoba and is currently a Senior Scholar there in the Department of Microbiology. He has investigated the evolution of ribosomal genes in the plant pathogen Pythium and has developed methods for strain identification.

Dr. Klassen is presently working on the relationships between evolutionary biology and religious belief.
