Gerald Gerbrandt

Gerald Gerbrandt fell in love with the Old Testament as a student at Canadian Mennonite Bible College. After further study he returned to teach Bible at CMBC. In 1997 he became President of CMBC, and then later President of Canadian Mennonite University, a position he left in the summer of 2012. This made it possible for him and his wife, Esther (who will assist with the tour), to spend seven weeks in Israel. From their base at Tantur, an academic research library located near the Separation Wall, they regularly walked to the Old City of Jerusalem or to down town Bethlehem. This will be his third tour to the region.

Sheila Klassen-Wiebe

Sheila Klassen-Wiebe brings to the tour lengthy experience in teaching Jesus and the Gospels, having taught at Elim Bible Institute and Swift Current Bible Institute prior to joining the faculty at Canadian Mennonite University. She is particular interested in exploring who Jesus was “then” and what it means to follow him “now.” Her enthusiasm for making the Bible come alive for people regardless of their age will be a significant asset during the tour.
