NEW! Pricing advantage for International and USA students for fall 2013! At CMU we value the contributions of students from outside Canada.

Top-notch faculty, a supportive Christian community, low cost, an opportunity to get a high-quality education, a chance to find your calling, low cost, service and adventure, low cost—these are a few of the reasons to study at CMU. Oh, and did we mention low cost?

Or how about the following, from Mya Wheeler, an international development studies major from Hesston, Kansas?
“I chose CMU for several various reasons. First, I wanted a different
perspective on the world in terms of politics and society. “Second, I wanted to
be part of a small Christian community that was situated within a larger
community with direct connections to other large universities and secular
learning. Third, the professors, staff and faculty are incredibly dedicated and
amazing in their roles as teachers, mentors, and community members at CMU.“Last but not least, is the great city of Winnipeg itself. Winnipeg is an amazing place that bursts with culture waiting to be discovered. Food of all sorts, from Ethiopian to Italian to Northern Chinese; music, theatre, movies and dance from local talent to worldwide renown; recreation from hockey to soccer to boxing and swimming. Parks contain beauty in both summer and winter and conservatories for those who want a bit of summer in the winter.
“I have never regretted my decision to come to CMU.”

can also earn a Bachelor of Music Therapy, Bachelor of Business Administration, Bachelor of
Theology and Bachelor of Church Ministries. And, unlike
many most other universities, at CMU you can major in
Peace and Conflict Transformation Studies and
International Development Studies. All of our degrees
require students to take some Biblical and Theological
Studies courses—courses that can challenge you, help you
grow in your faith and ensure that God is a key part of
your studies and plans for a career.

All of these courses are taught by top-notch and dedicated faculty; over 80 percent of CMU’s full-time faculty hold doctoral degrees from well-known universities. These are professors who not only care about the subjects they teach, but they also care about the people they teach. To them, you are more than a student. You are part of God’s family. They not only expect to teach you; they also expect to learn from you. Like you they are also on the way to greater wholeness. Together, you can discover what it is that God is saying to the world. CMU’s faculty will care personally about you and can help you get the best possible education—so that you are ready for life in a real world.
Oh, and did we mention the low cost?
Studying in Canada costs less than half of the cost at comparable colleges and universities in the U.S. Why? One reason is that CMU receives generous government support for its programs. Another reason is that Mennonite Church Canada and the Mennonite Brethren Churches of Manitoba provide financial support, as do hundreds of donors.
In 2013-14, it will cost about $18,000 to take a full
course-load, buy your books, pay all fees, participate in sports, stay in the
dorm and be part of the all-you-can-eat dining hall plan. (Cost of a touque—that’s
Canadian for a winter hat—is extra).

costs. This compares to $30,367, the average cost for a year of studies at a
private four-year college or university in the U.S. (Including living costs and
fees.) Altogether, it means that you could save about $70,000 U.S. over the course of earning a four-year
degree! Not bad, eh?
CMU has deferred status only (for transfer students) with US Federal Student Loans (FAFSA).
But will my degree be recognized?
CMU is a member of the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC), the body that represents 94 of Canada's public and private universities. Through membership in the AUCC, CMU students can gain admission to other universities when applying for graduate school or other professional programs.
Besides university education, what other opportunities does CMU provide?
Our one-year Christian discipleship program, called
Outtatown, is the most dynamic year of travel, study,
service & spiritual adventure in the world. This program
will take you from camps in the Canadian shield to
