STEP 1: Fill out an application
Domestic Students
Applications for Winter 2026 are open. A non-refundable application fee of $80 is required.
International Students
Applications for Winter 2026 are open. Please visit the international student webpages for detailed explanations regarding studying at CMU. A $150 nonrefundable application fee is required for international applications all year round.
Returning to CMU?
If you have studied at CMU in the past, please email the advising office at advising
STEP 2: Check your application portal often for required items and decision letters.
- You may upload an unofficial transcript as part of your application to your application portal.
- Original official final transcripts are required for final admission and must be submitted directly from an institution (or mailed or delivered in person).

STEP 3: Apply for financial aid and awards
CMU awards scholarships and bursaries to approximately 50% of the student body each year, so be sure to apply!
Scholarship application deadline is February 28.
Bursary application deadline is May 31 (international students); June 20 (domestic students).
