Financial Aid at CMU

 

CMU recognizes that a university education can be expensive. We want to assist you in making your education experience affordable. CMU offers over 300 unique scholarships and bursaries to students. In 2022/23, students received over $720,000 in scholarships and bursaries. During the school year, you will receive regular updates informing you of scholarship and bursary opportunities within and beyond CMU.

For questions on any of the financial aid programs, contact financialaid:@:cmu.ca or book an appointment. Students who need to request course credit exemptions for awards, please submit the Credit Hour Requirement Exemption Request form.

Current, registered students can view their billing information on their CMU student portal in the "Billing" section.

CMU announces 2022 Leadership Scholarship recipients

This year's recipients are Micah Janzen, Madeline Hiebert, Lia Campbell-Enns, and Julia Sawatzky. Each awarded $3,500 annually for up to four years, to a maximum of $14,000.

Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) takes every effort to make university accessible and affordable. In 2021/22, CMU administered over $750,000 in scholarships and bursaries to roughly 50% of the student population.

Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) is providing financial and other support to students displaced by violence in their home countries and has extended special considerations to Ukrainian students and alumni who are displaced after Russia's attack on their homeland.

David Nelson, Mia Loeppky, Matthew Pahl, and Eleanor Reimer are awarded this year's endowments: $3,500 annually up to four years, to a maximum value of $14,000 each.

CMU takes great pride in announcing the four winners of this year's Leadership Scholarships: David Nelson of Winnipeg, MB (Westgate Mennonite Collegiate); Mia Loeppky of Selkirk, MB (Lord Selkirk Regional Comprehensive Secondary School); Matthew Pahl of Morden, MB (Morden Collegiate Institute); and Eleanor Reimer of Winnipeg, MB (Sisler High School) are the winners of up to $14,000 each.
