The 16-month program structure allows the BEd program to be aligned with the K-12 school year, resulting in practicum blocks that allow you to integrate well into school environments and maximize your learning.
You will spend 28 weeks in practicum placements over the course of your degree. You will learn how to teach in real-time as you co-teach with your mentor teachers, allowing you to build and solidify your skills and approach with immediate feedback.
With a Manitoba teaching certificate, you are qualified to teach in any subject area and any grade level. At CMU, you will learn how to understand learning development and how to adapt curriculum to a variety of grade levels and student needs.
From observing classroom teaching to co-teaching placements to understanding and applying methods in language arts, science, and more, you will be learning from master educators whose experiences will serve as resources for your learning.
Our after-degree program is cohort-based, which means you will build strong relationships and a professional network with your peers, in addition to professors, teachers, and administrators who teach in the program.
