Café Coordinator

As the Café Coordinator, you oversee the daily operations of folio café and are responsible for coordinating team efforts, planning day-to-day tasks, and ensuring high-quality food and beverage preparation. In this position, you will divide your time between two primary responsibilities: front of house service and back of house coordination; overseeing a team of baristas, preparing and serving food and beverages, and coordinating daily tasks including cooking soup, sandwich prep, and maintaining inventory. In this position, you are a consistent presence at folio café and offer a proactive approach to team leadership and day-to-day operations.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
• Coordinate and support café staff in daily food and beverage preparation and service.
• Oversee daily soup preparation, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels; place orders and retrieve products as necessary.
• Provide training, coaching, and performance feedback to team members.
• Monitor beverage quality and consistency, ensuring high standards are maintained.
• Address customer concerns with professionalism, empathy, and care.
• Manage staff scheduling in collaboration with the Director of Food Services, balancing operational needs with labour costs and assist with recruitment as necessary.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations including food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
• Work with the Director of Food Service on menu development and planning seasonal menu variations.
• Participate in the execution of special events and catering services as required.
• Contribute to maintaining folio's online presence as required.
WORKING CONDITIONS
The Café Coordinator position works in a fast-paced restaurant environment, experiencing high volume periods and frequent deadlines. This position may be required to stand for long periods of time, perform repetitive tasks, and lift heavy items up to 23kgs. Working in a kitchen setting, this position works with sharp utensils, hot surfaces, and various cleaning chemicals. During peak periods, the Café Coordinator may experience extended hours, requiring flexibility.

About Us:
Monarch Bible Camp is a mobile camp operating in the Kawartha Lakes/Haliburton Highlands area. We are a mobile ministry, running camps in smaller communities so children can enjoy camp close to home. We usually run 6 weeks of Day Camps (evenings and weekends free) and 1 week of Resident Camp. We work with children and youth ages 6 to 14.
About the Role:
The Director of Discipleship plays a key role in fulfilling the mission of One Hope Canada at our camp by fostering spiritual growth and connection. This position is all about relationships -- building meaningful connections with campers, mentoring summer staff, and investing in the lives of children and youth both during the summer and throughout the year. Working closely with the Ministry Director and Ontario Field Director, the Director of Discipleship helps lead the camp's summer missionary team and ensures that every camper encounters the hope of the Gospel in a personal and engaging way.

Urban Green Team: Assiniboine Forest and Harte Trail
The Charleswood Rotary Club, Friends of the Harte Trail Inc. and Nature Manitoba are looking to hire individuals to assist with park maintenance projects in Assiniboine Forest, Harte Trail and natural areas in west Winnipeg. This includes trail maintenance, park cleanup, invasive species removal, planting and maintaining trees, shrubs, and wildflowers.
PROJECT LOCATION: Assiniboine Forest, the Harte Trail, and natural areas in west Winnipeg MB
PROJECT/JOB DESCRIPTION: Assiniboine Forest encompasses 287 hectares of aspen-oak forest, wetlands, and small meadows. Numerous trails run through the forest and require maintenance during the spring and summer months. The Harte Trail extends from the south end of Assiniboine Forest to the west perimeter highway in Charleswood. These parks link with the riparian forest along the Assiniboine River, forming a valuable habitat and wildlife corridor within the city. Annual maintenance is required in these parks, including pruning, maintaining tree plantings, and removing invasive species.

This newly created role as Next Generation (youth and young adult) & Worship Pastor has been structured as one full-time position (1.0 FTE), or two part-time positions (0.5 FTE each) focusing separately on Next Generation ministries or Worship leadership.
Reporting to the Lead Pastor, the NextGen & Worship Pastor(s) will collaborate closely with church staff and leadership in cultivating a passionate and faith-based worship environment and fostering spiritual growth among youth and young adults to be an integral part of the church community. You will work with a congregation centred on Jesus, and formed in the Anabaptist roots, who are aiming to deepen our connection with God. You will equip, inspire, and love us into what Jesus has next for our church.
