Renee Willms

Dean of Student Life

Renee is excited to be working with staff and students as Dean of Student Life. Previous to this role, she worked as the Director of the Centre for Career and Vocation and Practicum, helping students wrestle with their vocational questions. Additionally, she has worked as practicum coordinator and course instructor. Renee first came to CMU to work with the Outtatown program, starting as a Site Leader, before transitioning into the role of Guatemala Program Manager and eventually into the Co-Directorship of the Outtatown Program. She is excited to work with the Student Life team to provide the best possible experience for CMU students.

Renee holds an Honours Degree in History from Brock University in St. Catharines, Ontario and a Masters Degree in Christian Studies from Regent College at UBC in Vancouver. She is also a trained Life Design Facilitator through Stanford University, and a certified Work-Life strategist. Renee comes to the Student Life team with a wide variety of programmatic and student focused experiences. When she's not helping students think about who they want to be and what they want to do, you can probably find her spending time with friends, listening to podcasts, or planning her next trip.
