Typical Day
Our team of experts fills a variety of roles and works with amazing clients every day. On a typical day, we may travel to meet with clients in their offices or consult with them via video conference. We frequently work in our collaboration space in Steinbach to pool the best of our experience. We support clients by assisting with the full accounting cycle as required, preparing budgets or multi-year projections, drafting internal and external financial reports, updating or migrating accounting systems, and provide training and documentation during periods of transition.

Your Opportunity
The Contract Accounting Assistant will work with the Accounting Manager or Director of Finance of each client organization to which they are assigned. This supporting role ensures that monthly financial reports are complete, accurate and available on a timely basis even though the accounting system may be undergoing a migration.
The expected qualifications for this role are:
- General accounting knowledge or training.
- Familiarity with fund accounting and public service bodies GST rebates.
- One to two years of experience in a related accounting field.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Excel.
- Proficiency with Payworks, Sage 50, SharePoint, and Microsoft Planner would be beneficial.
- High level of integrity and excellent work ethic.
- Demonstrated confidentiality regarding financial, employee, client and donor records.
- Volunteer or work experience with a charity or non-profit organization is an asset.
Total Compensation
The salary range is based on the Plains Edge Compensation Schedule. Our compensation package includes a group benefits program, RRSP match, and wellness spending account. - The successful candidates will be a Godly-living married couple who desire to serve the Lord and have a call to the ministry of being Ranch Parents at BAYR. - Ranch parents are expected to have constant supervision of the children in their care, be available and prepared to deal with all kinds of situations. Their job is to provide positive, nurturing care for the children, and be godly role models and disciplinarians. They need to carry out the structures and routines of the program (including but not limited to: work projects on the ranch with youth, homework, recreational activities, family social activities, community interaction, church, be ambassadors for the ministry to donors, community and visitors). It is their responsibility to provide meals and proper daily nutrition to the youth. They must make sure the house and its surrounding area remain well kept and inviting, ready to have guests to come and tour at all times. The ranch parents will be responsible for tending to the emotional and spiritual needs of the children and youth.

Based out of Winnipeg with travel throughout southern Manitoba, this full-time term position is 32 hours per week, $23.00/hour, from January 12th – May 1st 2026.
LWF has implemented a reduced workweek, with staff working 32 hours/week. Our reduced workweek comes with the expectation that employees will continue to maintain 100% of the productivity of a 40-hour workweek. As such, employees will continue to receive the pay they would receive for 40 hours of work. Accordingly, the hourly wage for this position has been increased from $18.40 to $23.00.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Program Coordinator, the Community-Based Monitoring Student will support planning, sample preparation and fieldwork activities of the Lake Winnipeg Community-Based Monitoring Network. Tasks will include:
• Tracking inventory and preparing sample packs for volunteers and partners
• Tracking sample and volunteer data and maintaining an up-to-date sampling database
• Assisting with volunteer recruitment and relationship building
• Assisting with delivery of sample packs and in-field training sessions for new volunteers
• Monitoring water levels online through the Water Survey of Canada website
• Communicating with volunteers and partners to coordinate sampling activities across the network
• Conducting responsive water sampling activities in southern Manitoba, using LWCBMN protocols and equipment (pending spring melt)
• Supporting the collection of responsive flow and water level data in southern Manitoba (pending spring melt)

• Assisting with the planning and execution of the LWCBMN annual gathering

The Behavioural Health Foundation (BHF) is a Therapeutic Community providing long-term bed-based treatment for adults and family units experiencing issues related to substance use and co-occurring mental health concerns. Programming includes individual and group counselling and focuses on wholistic person centered wellness. Adult education, employment development and life skills are key components of supporting residents to move to healthier coping and life choices.
BHF is one of the few programs where adults can enter with their children or reunify with children not in their care while they are in the program. With dedicated childcare and K-6 education on site, the program offers healing opportunities for the whole family. The Indigenous Services at BHF offer Traditional Teachings and Ceremonies to residents and community members. Traditional healing in a trauma informed environment has strengthened many members' success in changing their lives. The Outreach team supports members working to maintain healthy choices as they transition back into their communities.

JOB SUMMARY
The Program Support Worker plays a key role in maintaining a safe, supportive, and structured environment for residents during evenings and weekends. Working closely with treatment staff, the Program Support Worker provides supervision, assistance, and encouragement to clients as they move through their recovery journey.
QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Grade 12 High School or equivalent is required and life or work experience in dealing with women with addiction and co-occurring mental health issues.
- Good written and oral communication skills needed.
- Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous history, culture, practices, customs, and beliefs.
- Able to work with minimal supervision and exercise mature judgment.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Must be self-motivated and well organized.
SUMMARY OF JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide supervision and support to clients, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Assist with monitoring the facility and performing regular checks.
- Respond to emergencies or incidents according to established protocols.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
- Satisfactory Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector check and child abuse registry check (no older than three months)
- A valid driver's license with a reliable vehicle and a satisfactory drivers abstract.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Mental Health First Aid Certificate is considered an asset.
- Valid First Aid / CPR Certification an asset
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Must demonstrate a strong work ethic and be reliable.
- Maintain strict confidentiality guidelines regarding all clients, conversations, and referrals.

Regional Director - You don't need to be a lobbyist to help influence foreign policy. As a Regional Director, you'll serve as a Borgen Project Ambassador in your city - mobilizing your friends, family and colleagues to contact your government in support of key poverty reduction legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
Meet with local government leaders and lobby for legislation that improves living conditions for the world's poor.
Mobilize people in your community to contact their government leaders to support poverty reduction legislation.
Manage and implement fundraising campaigns.
Build a network of people engaged in the cause.
Serve as The Borgen Project's ambassador in your city.
Qualifications:
Basic understanding of politics and international development.
Highly organized with the ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks while managing their work time efficiently.
Strong team player that loves to bring new ideas to the table.
Ability to demonstrate frequent independent judgment with decisiveness.
Excellent overall communication skills: oral, written, presentation.

Writer/Journalist Internship: The role is focused on content creation for BORGEN Magazine or The Borgen Project Blog. This is a part-time 12-hours per week, 12 week, unpaid remote internship. If your availability is limited, you can work ahead and complete the program in fewer weeks.

Responsibilities will include:
- Article writing.
- Researching topics.
- Assisting with The Borgen Project's advocacy efforts.
- Assisting with fundraising. Create a personal fundraising campaign and meet targets.
Experience: No prior experience is necessary, we're looking for people who are passionate about fighting poverty and righting wrongs, regardless of your GPAs/background.
Details: This is an unpaid internship, although college credit is available.
