The CMU Board invites you to a lawn party in support of the educational mission entrusted to CMU. Join us for a warm, sunny evening on the lawn by Assiniboine Castle for the joy of connecting with one another, tasty food, fun lawn games, and highlights of CMU Education: What changes when you notice.

All guests are asked to please bring their own outdoor blanket and/or lawn chair to the event. The event will happen indoors in the event of rain.
Who: All friends and alumni of CMU
When: Wednesday, June 17, 2026 at 6:00 PM. Meal served shortly after 6:00 PM with a program and activities to follow.
Where: Lawn south of Assiniboine Castle, 500 Shaftesbury Blvd.
Parking: Assiniboine Castle Parking Lot A, 500 Shaftesbury Blvd. [ map ]
Alternative Transportation: If you'd like to bike to Faspa on the Lawn, a bike rack is located on the north side of Assiniboine Castle by the main entrance or west of Marpeck Commons. If you plan to take public transportation, the FX3 bus comes down Grant Avenue and stops right in front of campus. The D19, 70, and 644 also stop within a 20 min walk from campus.
Intergenerational Event: Faspa on the Lawn is intended for community members of all ages, from two weeks to 102 years. Lawn games and a bouncy castle will create a fun evening for all.
Accessibility Considerations: This event will take place mainly on the lawn on the south side of Assiniboine Castle at 500 Shaftesbury Blvd. Accessible parking is available, as are accessible washrooms.
Give Generously: The generosity of friends and alumni make it possible for CMU to live out its mission. Guests will be invited to make a one-time gift or to begin a monthly contribution. All donations are cherished and needed to keep tuition affordable and accessible for all students.
