Join us for an enlightening evening of Conflict Transformation Through Dialogue and Narrative, an event designed to foster understanding and empathy through the power of storytelling and shared experiences. This event will be co-facilitated by two distinguished peacebuilders, Izzeddin Hawamda and Karen Ridd, who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in peace and conflict studies.

This event is open to anyone interested in conflict resolution, peacebuilding, and social justice. It is particularly suited for:

Facilitators

Izzeddin Hawamda

Born in a rural village near Nablus, Palestine, Izzeddin has lived in Canada for over 15 years. Izzeddin is the founder of Sadaa an organization that promotes stories of marginalized and underrepresented voices. He holds a PhD in Peace and Conflict Studies from the University of Manitoba, focusing on interfaith dialogue. Izzeddin is passionate about creating opportunities for dialogue through storytelling and is actively involved in various organizations promoting rights and liberties, resilience, and diversity.

Karen Ridd

With a career spanning over three decades, Karen is a mediator, facilitator, and educator with extensive experience in conflict resolution and human rights. She has worked in war zones in Central America and has been recognized with numerous awards for her contributions to peace and justice. Karen is also an associate of Training for Change and Mediation Services, and a member of several dialogue and social justice initiatives.
