What Will I Study?

The International Development program at CMU looks at development at both the community level as well as the global level.

You will critically examine the wide range of actors and organizations that make up the international humanitarian world.  This includes everything from Canadian foreign aid to grassroots organizations to international organizations like World Vision, Mennonite Central Committee and the United Nations.

Students also study project monitoring and evaluation, program planning, community facilitation and language courses.

Some of the courses that make up the core of the IDS program include Economics of Development, African Development Issues, Humanitarian Aid and Conflict, The Project Cycle,  and Analysis of Development Aid Policy.
