Travel Information

Bus in Guatemala

Passport

All students are required to have an up-to-date passport, valid for at least 30 days after returning to Canada and with at least two blank pages for entry visas.

Students are encouraged to start this process as soon as they receive acceptance into Estamos, if not sooner, and will be required to submit a photocopy of their passport to the Estamos office in advance so flights can be arranged.

Medical Insurance

All students will be expected to purchase international travel health and trip cancellation insurance through Estamos for the duration of their Estamos program or course. This amount is accounted for in the tuition and fees.

Students will be expected to provide their provincial health insurance number.

Travel Health Requirements/Vaccinations

All students are expected to visit their doctor or a local travel health clinic to receive any necessary vaccinations. Your doctor or travel health clinic will have the most up-to-date recommendations for vaccinations. These appointments should be arranged upon your acceptance into Estamos, as some immunizations require multiple injections over a span of time. You may visit the Government of Canada's travel advice and advisories page for more information.

Out of a desire to ensure the health and safety of our hosts and students, all students and employees travelling with Estamos must have completed their vaccination regimen for COVID-19 more than 14 days prior to travel. Recognizing that the situation with COVID-19 is fluid, students must be willing to comply with health and safety regulations related to COVID-19 as established by our in-country hosts, CMU, and local and national governments.
