Personal Characteristics
Program participants will travel and share space with other students, while engaging with a diverse range of people in the country of travel. An immersive program such as Estamos is richly rewarding but will also be intense and demanding in nature. A student's ability to be flexible, cooperative, curious, and self-motivated will contribute to a meaningful and beneficial semester of learning, growth, and exploration. The questions below are designed to help both you, the applicant, and the Estamos office reflect upon the personal and educational fit of Estamos for you.
Please write a letter of motivation in a document (.doc, .docx, or .pdf) and upload the document to this application (500-750 words). This letter should be written in the form of a reflective essay (you should use first person). Please engage with the following questions in your letter:
  1. What do you hope to learn or gain through completing Estamos?
  2. What are your expectations for participating in Estamos?
  3. What can you contribute to the program/group?
  4. Do you have previous international or cultural immersion experiences? If so, please describe them.
